Hank Mann’s range of skills makes him a rare asset among production designers. He has experience across all levels of production, including lighting, photography, producing, locations and installation art, all which make him a versatile asset to a film team. In all his creative pursuits, Hank’s imagination is excited by the possibilities inherent in making dreams and storytelling into a shared visual reality.
Hank’s film credits include the feature KILL KILL FASTER FASTER, directed by Gareth Maxwell Roberts and THE REPEATERS with director Carl Bessai.
He is also well reputed for creating visually compelling commercial work. He recently worked on the Go Daddy campaign featuring Jean Claude Van Damme, in which he mastered a challenging set meant to look natural, but rigged with extensive stunt equipment. His resume also includes spots for AutoTrader, Benjamin Moore, Bayer, Blue Cross, Converse, Foot Locker, Hyundai, Infiniti, L’Oreal, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Nike and Sony.
He has worked on music videos for well-known artists such as Sarah MacLachlan and Nickelback.
It has always been a dream of Hanks to work with Academy Award winning Director Denys Arcand and we are thrilled that they have recently collaborated together to create six screen art installation influenced by Rodin’s ” The Burghers of Calais”. The art piece will open in Paris at the Canadian Cultural Centre and in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
