Adam William Wilson Production Designer

Adam William Wilson is a skilled problem solver who, with a history of fine art draws inspiration from photography, sculpture/installation and simple every day absurdities.   He is meticulous is manipulating granular details to create a feeling of reality within a space. It is perhaps this potent combination of quirk and intellect that makes Adam a favorite Production Designer of musicians, directors and brands alike.

His work is best described as contemporary and modern. He produces pieces that are uniquely fresh and full of imagination. Adam recently wrapped a new feature film, NO STRANGER THAN LOVE, with director Nick Wernham, and starring Alison Brie and Colin Hanks. Working on this film, Adam is instrumental in bringing to life the town of Spot Valley, while tackling unique challenges in designing sets to accommodate Wernham’s complex camera movements.

He boasts an impressive collection of film credits, which include the feature film MOLLY MAXWELL with director Sara St. Onge, which screened at the MoMA’s Canadian Front Film Exhibition and the Palm Springs Film Festival. He also recently worked on the short film LOST IN MOTION: DIYA, with director Ben Shirinian. His other short film credits include OLIVER BUMP’S BIRTHDAY, HAPPY PILLS, JOSEF & AIMEE, POINT OF LIGHT and NOT OVER EASY.

Adam has also worked on a number of commercials for such clients as Ford, VW, Mitsubishi, Coca-Cola, Future Shop, M&Ms,  Special K and the World Wildlife Fund. His music video credits include The Weeknd, Billy Talent, Hollerado, Bedouin Soundclash, the Deftones, Gimmy Gnecco and Magnetta Lane.

Down the road, Adam would like to work on a gritty sci-fi drama set in the 1990s, starring an aging fashion icon.
