It’s easy to understand why Tico has so many fans. His work is contemporary and stylized, yet also realistic and natural. Tico has lensed spots for a wide variety of high end brands, such as Audi, Visa, Honda, Molson, Tropicana, Bombardier, 7UP and Dove. His work has been recognized at such prestigious competitions as the London International Awards and the Bessie Awards, in addition to winning a Cannes Film Lion Grand Prix Award.
Tico’s film and TV credits include the feature film I’LL FOLLOW YOU DOWN, for Resolute Films and EOne Entertainment, directed by Richie Mehta (slated for a release later this year and starring Haley Joel Osment, Rufus Sewell and Victor Garber); IN RETURN, directed by Chris Dymond for New Real Films; an episode of DARKNET with director Brett Sullivan and creator Vincenzo Natali, and the short film SAM’S FORMALWEAR, directed by Yael Staav, which was an official selection at the Toronto International Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.
In addition, Tico has shot 2nd unit for NBC’s popular TV series HANNIBAL. His short films include SHHH, with directors Shervin & Freddy, which was nominated for Best Cinematography in a Dramatic Short at the Leo Award, SEASONS OF CHANGE, directed by Jon Staav and BREAK A LEG with Director Jesse Shamata, which premiered at the prestigious MoMA in NYC. His work on IN THE PENAL COLONY earned him the Best Cinematography award at the Through Her Eyes Women’s Festival in New York.
