James Klopko, Tico Poulakakis and Canadian Film Fest

The line up for this year’s Canadian Film Fest has been announced and we are excited to see films lensed by our DPs James Klopko and Tico Poulakakis included and making their world premieres at Toronto’s Scotiabank Theatre!

Great Great Great (dir Adam Garnet Jones)
Premieres Thursday, March 23 at 7:00pm
A darkly comedic feature film shot by James Klopko

In the span of Lauren and Tom’s five-year relationship, they’ve never had a fight. Their sex life is fine. They get along fine. Everything points to marriage, until Lauren suddenly sees a lifetime of “just fine” yawning ahead of her, and it immediately makes her hungry for a better, fuller future. She just needs to decide what “better” really means. Great Great Great is a deeply relatable portrait of a woman who makes us squirm with discomfort while asking us to love some of the most unlovable parts of ourselves. Stars Sarah Kolasky, Daniel Beirne, and Richard Clarkin.

Magic Mushrooms (dir Sean Wainsteim)
Premieres Thursday, March 23 at 9:30pm
A short comedy shot by Tico Poulakakis

After an awkward teen boy and his girl crush switch bodies after taking mushrooms, he discovers that attraction is more complicated than he thought. Magic Mushrooms is an unexpected, wry reflection on gender identity and coming-of-age sexuality. Stars Aris Tyros, Alyssa Capriotti and Aaron Hale.
